Business Owners & Executives

“To be successful, you have to have your heart in your business, and your business in your heart.”

Business Coaching

As a business coach, I can work with you to achieve greater success for you and the business.  I have worked in and with a variety of businesses and organizations, and I have learned this:  the entity is only as strong as the people working in it.  This is true at all levels.  Here are some of the many challenges I have seen in business.

  • If the leaders don’t have a clear business vision and plan, they create an unhealthy work environment which leads to disengaged employees and poor performance at both an individual and company level.
  • Sometimes the leaders lack heart and fail to see their employees as human beings.  Again, the same result as above.  For example, reducing a benefit (or anything perceived as a benefit) to save money without a strategy for explaining the reasons plus communication of those reasons leads to a drastic reduction in staff morale and productivity.
  • The entrepreneur or small business owner is so convinced she or he is right, the business misses great opportunities and access to the collective wisdom of the employees who do the day-to-day work.
  • The business owner or manager is burned out and does not know what to do next.  She or he abdicates their leadership role while at the same time refuses to delegate management and leadership to others.
  • Finally, I have seen more great employees leave or “retire on the job” because the business and their manager do not either recognize or engage the employees’ specific strengths and contributions.
